We are going to take our RGB image of these musicians and choose one to stand out in color; the others will be black and white after brushing/painting away the color.

Choose the brush tool and from the toolbar, change the blending mode to Color.

Choose a medium-sized brush with soft edges.

Paint around the area you wish to keep in color. As you paint, you will remove the color in the surrounding areas.
