Open your image of this serene forest.

Since it is difficult to create type on
two separate lines that are close enough together, pagerunners presents a method to solve that little
difficulty. Create and position your type (Forest). Add a new layer and create some additional type (Woods).

Make sure your anti-alias type settings are set to Smooth.

Control + Click on the bottom type layer (Forest) to load the
selection. To load the other layer (Woods), press and hold Control + Shift and click on that layer.

Both layers will now be selected. Click once on the
background layer, press Control + C to copy and then click once on the top (Woods) type layer (this is important! It
won't work to paste into the bottom type layer). Edit > Paste Into. Now, delete the background layer.
Note:
you can also lower the opacity and/or the fill to 0% and the background layer will be transparent, albeit still
present. This will work only if you click once on the background layer to make it active. Click once on the top
type layer to add your drop shadow and do the same to the bottom type layer.

After deleting the background layer, adding a drop shadow and
flattening the image, you have achieved full Photoshop guru status, young apprentice.
